General Information
Venue
SKYCITY Auckland is Auckland’s premier exhibition venue. It’s a glamorous space designed to enable exhibition planners to create their own custom-lit environments. It is spacious, centrally located and ideally equipped for exhibitions of this nature. The SKYCITY Auckland Team is very experienced in this arena and provides excellent service to both exhibitors and visitors.
Accommodation
For participating designers, SKYCITY Auckland is offering a special accommodation rate (on site). Many of the rooms have safes which will protect your valuable exhibition items overnight. Please contact us if you would like more information regarding accommodation at SKYCITY Auckland.
Pass-outs
Complimentary pass-outs will be available to the public at the information desk.
Designers’ Security
Two security bands will be issued to each registered designer. These are to be worn for the duration of the event and will replace the photo ID and lanyards used in previous years. Additional wristbands will be made available for a fee for extra staff working during the show.
Sales and Collection of Work
You may release sold work to customers immediately, provided you maintain a full display throughout the exhibition.
EFTPOS Facilities
We will not offer a cash out facility but designers will be able to put purchases through either via Debit or Credit Card (MasterCard or Visa only). A small commission will be charged on each sale.
No hard wired EFTPOS machines are able to be used in the venue for the 2010 show and no phone lines will be made available for EFTPOS machines.
- Designers who have Wireless EFTPOS terminals will be able to use these terminals on site if they wish.
- For designers wishing to hire an EFTPOS terminal, this can only be done through the New Zealand Jewellery Show organisers and we have negotiated an exceptional deal for the 2010 event.
- Should you wish to hire an EFTPOS terminal(s) then please contact us at info@jewelleryshow.co.nz or order at the time of registering for the event.
- This year we will offer participating designers a centralised EFTPOS facility which will be situated at the Information Desk.
- We will not offer a cash out facility but designers will be able to put purchases through either via Debit or Credit Card (MasterCard or Visa only). A small commission will be charged on each sale to cover EFTPOS charges.
Insurance and Security
Insurance cover and security of the jewellery is the responsibility of the participating designer. All work may be cleared from the cabinets overnight and re-displayed the following morning. Jewellers may, of course, leave their work in the cabinets overnight at their own risk as the room will be securely locked and a guard inside the room during the whole lock-down period. The venue engages a security firm to maintain a strong presence in the room at all times from the time show management packs in to the time the last cabinet is loaded onto trucks at the end of pack-out. There are security cameras on site at SKYCITY Auckland but vigilance should be maintained at all times especially at the high risk times when jewellers are arriving and leaving from the venue.
The Designers’ Lounge
All participating designers are invited to use the Designers’ Lounge which will be open during trading hours in the three days of the public exhibition.
Complimentary tea and coffee will be available.
